Role Overview & Responsibilities

Empowering Learning are currently working with a fantastic school in the Manchester area. Due to demands on the department, they are now looking to recruit an Attendance Officer/Bespoke Programme Mentor to support their students to start work as soon as possible until June / July 2023.

Attendance Officer/Bespoke Programme Mentor - £100 - £120 per day

Role responsibilities will include:

  • Having responsibility for the oversight of bespoke programmes for a small group of young people
  • Admin - attendance monitoring, reports and tracking
  • Delivery of some sessions of the programme to a small group of children
  • Oversight of pupils who attend additional sessions - eg construction and other departments
  • Home visits to parents and carers
  • Visit to providers
  • Driving to parents and carers homes - So the ideal candidate will need to be able to drive and have access to their own transport

Ideal candidates will:

  • Be available to start work as soon as possible and be able to fulfil the full length of the contract
  • Hold a DBS on the update service or be willing to have one processed.
  • Have your own transport and be able to attend home visits as and when required by the school.
  • To undertake other relevant duties allocated including input to the monitoring and reviewing of work programmes
  • During curriculum activities, under the direction of the teacher, provide support to enable students to achieve their learning aims
  • To maintain records of student's progress as instructed by the class teacher including input to monitoring and reviewing of work programmes
  • To prepare display materials and teaching aids, undertake simple maintenance and clean and tidy up after use

Hours of work:

  • Monday to Friday 8.30am - 3.30pm (term time only)
