Role Overview & Responsibilities
M-B Truck & Van (NI) Northern Ireland’s only Mercedes-Benz Commercial Vehicle Dealership are currently recruiting an experienced Depot Manager to run our Dungannon depot
This is an excellent opportunity to join a reputable business as it starts its journey of transitioning to a new site.
Key purpose of the role:
Independently managing and developing a customer-oriented and profitable service workshop and automotive parts business.
- The efficient running and development of the Dungannon depot, focusing on customer and market needs
- Responsibility for health & safety compliance, ensuring regular maintenance of equipment and facilities of this depot
- Ensuring effective deployment of skills and resources to drive service performance levels and standards
- Direct line management of a team to include - Workshop Foreman, Service Advisors, Commercial Vehicle Technicians and Parts Advisors
- Managing, coaching and motivating employees, thus ensuring a high-quality service offering that is representative of a premium brand
- Responsibility for adherence to mandatory training requirements for all personnel within the depot

Essential Criteria:
- Solid understanding and significant experience of the day-to-day management of service delivery in the automotive industry
- Sound commercial awareness, demonstrating the ability to achieve budgets and set KPI’s
- Extensive supervisory/management experience, in a service function of a vehicle dealership – preference will be given to candidates with commercial vehicle experience
- Excellent technical knowledge of vehicles and possess relevant technical qualifications
- Demonstrable evidence of building strong relationships with customers, colleagues, and manufacturers
- IT literate and a competent user of Kerridge and other dealer management system

- The ability to execute decisions and deliver results independently
- The ability to work productively, efficiently & effectively with initiative and drive under tight timescales and pressure whilst maintaining operational outputs
- A positive "can do" attitude towards the technical and non-technical challenges facing the automotive industry
- You will have the ability to sympathetically understand customer needs and resolve their queries, with a clear emphasis on delivering customer excellence
