About Us
Lavender Oaks Care home, recently awarded "Good" by CQC is a beautiful modern care home set in leafy Carshalton on the edge of Sutton in Surrey. Providing 24 hour residential, nursing and dementia care to the elderly promoting dignity and respect to all our Residents through person-centre care. If you are kind, caring and dedicated to Residents needs and would like to be part of a great team then this is the role for you.
About the Role
- Providing excellent personal care to our Residents.
- Assisting with toileting, dressing and feeding.
- Individual person centred care.
- Assisting with mobility.
- End of life care.
- Emotional and physical support.
- Supporting the Leisure & Wellness Team with recreational and social activities.
- Maintain accurate records in line with our companies procedures.
- Ongoing training will be provided by our in-house trainer.
- Promote the home to prospective residents/families.
- Provide a warm welcome to all visitors.
- Escort Residents to appointments
About you
- Friendly and caring by nature.
- Excellent team member but can also work individually taking direction and lead from others.
- Good communication skills.
- Practical
- Experience is preferred, but not as essential as your genuine desire to develop or progress a career in this field.
- A respectful and courteous attitude to seniors is required.
- Weekend availability is required on a rota basis.
- Flexible and hard working.
Successful appointments are subject to satisfactory references and a DBS check, and candidates must be authorised to work in the EU.
To ensure our staff can provide the highest possible standards of care, we provide a comprehensive induction programme as well as on-going training and development. Relevant courses, such as moving and handling, infection control, fire training and food hygiene, ensure all our employees continually update their skills and knowledge
